People usually wear the rings on the left ring finger. As a general rule, promise rings for men are plain and simple without a gemstone or, if desired, a small stone. On the other hand, the rings for women are elaborate affairs, with gemstones like diamonds, rubies, and sapphires adorning gold. The Turkish variation on these rings is special puzzles with unique solutions or methods of assembly.
