Reaching a yearly milestone in your committed relationship is a great accomplishment. What better way to celebrate the occasion than with a token of love such as an anniversary band. • First, what kind of stones would you like in your anniversary band? Many of the popular ring styles are diamond anniversary rings, in which diamonds go completely around the band, or just along the top of the finger. Anniversary bands can be made out of gold, silver or platinum, depending on your preference. Other rings feature gemstones, such as sapphires, emeralds, rubies or other common birthstones. One idea is to purchase the gemstone in the month that you were married. You can even create the anniversary ring with a mix of gemstones and diamonds.
• Second, how would you like your stones set? Most diamond anniversary rings are channel set, with the diamonds inside a groove in the band. Another popular style is a pavé setting, where the diamonds or gemstones are set apart by a small piece of metal on top of the anniversary band.

Men's anniversary rings are designed similar to women's, commonly using diamonds in a channel setting, across just the top part of the finger.
