Toggle Bracelets

Toggle bracelets derive their name from the kind of clasp used to hold the bracelets together. These bracelets pair well with today’s natural looks. These toggle bracelets are available as heart charms displaying a single initial [Charms for Charm Bracelets].

It is important that toggle, or chain-maille bracelets, have a relatively long bar for proper closing. These bars often have little balls or raised decoration at one end. You must insert the bar through a circle on the other end of the bracelet to close it properly.

Nowadays toggle bracelets even come in macramé threads. These designs tie around the wrist easily. A toggle clasp at end of the bracelet completes the piece of jewelry.

The process of creating a macramé toggle bracelet is relatively simple. First thread the cord through one side of the toggle clasp, affixing it with a hand knot. Make a square knot, comprised of two half knots. Continue making square knots, adding beads after every two square knots are completed. When you have made the bracelet the length you desire, add the other end of the toggle clasp and close off with another hand knot. Glue down the excess cord and wait for the bracelet to dry before wearing.
